Keftedes - Greek Meat Patties

Ingredients:
- Ground meat (beef or a mix of beef and pork) - 500 g
- Egg - 1
- Stale bread - 3-4 slices
- Milk - 100 ml
- Apples - 100 g
- Zucchini - 100 g
- Onion - 1
- Parsley - 0.5 bunch
- Cilantro - 0.5 bunch
- Basil - 3 sprigs
- Salt - 1 tsp
- Black pepper (ground) - 0.25 tsp
- Oil for frying - 100-200 ml
Instructions:
Prepare the Bread:
Remove the crust from the bread and soak it in warm milk for 20-25 minutes.
Prepare Fruits and Vegetables:
Peel the apples and zucchini, and remove the seeds from the apples. Grate both the apples and zucchini on a coarse grater.
Chop the Greens:
Finely chop the parsley, cilantro, and basil.
Prepare the Onion:
Peel and finely chop the onion. Alternatively, you can grate the onion.
Mix the Ingredients:
In a large bowl, combine the ground meat, grated apple, grated zucchini, chopped onion, soaked bread, and chopped greens. Mix thoroughly.
Add the Egg:
Crack in the egg and mix the meat mixture well, kneading it to a smooth consistency. Let the mixture rest for 10-15 minutes.
Shape the Patties:
Form small, plum-sized meatballs from the mixture, aiming for a "one-bite" size. Arrange them on parchment paper.
Fry the Patties:
Heat about 1 cm of oil in a frying pan. Carefully place the keftedes in the hot oil and fry for about 7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
Serve:
Serve the keftedes with vegetables and potatoes
